In the second quarter of 2023, the top five tools apps in Italy demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy exhibited significant fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at $30K in mid-April and then gradually declining to around $12K by late June. Weekly downloads also showed a declining trend, starting from 26K at the end of March and dropping to approximately 10K by the end of June. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 130K to 140K throughout the quarter.

AVG AntiVirus & Security experienced a slight increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $4.5K in mid-June. Weekly downloads saw minor fluctuations, with a high of 14K in mid-May. The app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, increasing from 214K at the start of the quarter to 253K by the end of June.

iRISCO had a more stable performance in terms of weekly revenue, averaging around $7K to $10K. Weekly downloads were modest, ranging between 300 and 400, with a slight peak of 481 in late May. Weekly active users remained consistent, around 3.2K to 3.4K throughout the quarter.

Avast Antivirus & Security showed steady weekly revenue, fluctuating between $2.8K and $4K. Weekly downloads peaked at 4.3K in mid-May but generally hovered around 3K to 3.5K. Weekly active users exhibited a slight decline from 275K at the end of March to 261K by the end of June.

VPN & Antivirus by Kaspersky maintained stable weekly revenue, ranging between $3.2K and $5K. Weekly downloads were relatively low, with a peak of 3.5K in early May. Weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 60K at the end of March to 55K by the end of June.
